Fall Sports Seasons Get Underway

For student athletes across the state, summer vacation ended Monday with the start of Fall Sports Season practices. Football, Volleyball and Cross Country athletes all began their respective pre-season conditioning and drills on Monday in preparation for the upcomings seasons.

For Emmetsburg E-Hawk football, Coach Mike Dunlap's teams are busy preparing for their annual Black and White Scrimmage on Friday, August 17. The Football season then begins on Friday, August 24, as the E-Hawks host Algona Bishop Garrigan at 7 p.m.

Coach Missy Birkey's Lady E-Hawk Volleyball Team will scrimmage on August 17, and open their season hosting Pocahontas Area on Thursday, August 23, starting at 6 p.m.

Coach Katie Heddinger's Lady E-Hawk and E-Hawk Cross Country squads will open their season as well on Thursday, August 23 at the Spencer Invitational a 4:30.
